A great loss
One of the 20th Century’s most important and influential composers, Milton Babbitt, died today at the age of 94. Known widely for his somewhat abrasive and aleatory music, Babbitt taught and shaped some of today’s most successful and important composers. His loss is a great sorrow for the musical community.
